Psychological Counseling Center
The Psychological Counseling Center was established as a special unit in the Graduate School of Education - American Open University based on the decision of the Scientific Council as a center specialized in educational aspects and psychological counseling to provide all services and consultations to institutions and entities concerned in this field.

Contributing positively and effectively to developing the skills and raising the capabilities of researchers, students and teachers, and providing all services to them and to all groups that target developing educational research skills and information and communication technology, and providing advisory expertise to all different educational institutions, whether in the United States of America or abroad, in light of the latest global trends and dealing with the mechanisms of the twenty-first century from computer networks, satellites and the Internet.

Providing vocational training services for workers in the educational field, whether in the field of general education or in the field of training specialists or teachers in the field of psychological counseling, childhood, adult education, or special education.
Contribute to updating pre-service training programmes for new teachers and ongoing training for teachers in agreement with the Ministry of Education and other supporting bodies.
Providing guidance services in the field of psychological and educational guidance, in addition to academic and social guidance, and observing the rules of mental health for school students in the areas and neighborhoods surrounding the university.
Providing and continuously updating an educational and psychological information base.
Providing scientific and technical expertise and advice as a consulting expertise center for various educational institutions, such as: the Ministry of Education and educational institutions in America and abroad.

Planning programs and accurately defining their objectives in light of the actual needs of trainees.
Careful selection of trainers from experts and specialists known for their knowledge and competence from inside and outside the institute
Using multiple and diverse methods in training, such as: lectures, discussion and dialogue sessions, seminars, brainstorming, training workshops, role-playing, self-training, and other effective methods in the field of training.
Providing appropriate laboratories and halls equipped with audio-visual and technical means and equipment to serve the purposes of the training programs, in addition to the availability of rest and hospitality areas.
Continuous follow-up and evaluation of training programs through trainer and course evaluation models provided to trainees, and surveying the opinions of trainers and supervisors of training programs, and the entities to which trainees belong.
