The college provides students with the knowledge on management theories and practices they need, and equips them with skills in the different operational areas they wish to focus on or specialize in such as food and beverage service, bar services, housekeeping, reception, Asian and international cuisine, tour guiding, tour and travel operations, and ticketing. Students are also given the opportunity to undergo international internships or on-the-job training in different places such as the United States and Thailand; and local internships in well-known hotels and institutions.

This department is taught by professors specialized in this field to prepare the student theoretically and practically to benefit from it in the field of tourism and hotels, where the student receives an intensive theoretical and practical study.

The study program in the Tourism Department aims to prepare and graduate qualified cadres to work in various tourism fields and to become the basic nucleus of academic and professional tourism education, as this type of education always receives great attention in the fields of work, whether in the government or private sector.

The study program in the Tourism Department consists of two academic years or an intensive academic year, representing 40% of the study plan for the first year as a general specialization, and in the other semesters the transition is to a precise specialization that is approximately 60% of the specialization plan. The program includes three specializations in:

Perhaps the most prominent aspect of interest in the study program in the Department of Tourism is the expansion of teaching the specialized subjects in English and German, so that the percentage of courses taught in this language reaches about 60% of the total courses in the general and precise specialization. The program also devoted a great deal of care and attention to practical training during the years of study in order to complete the academic preparation of graduates.

It contributes to the development of tourism and the better use of its resources, as the institute has contributed to the development of tourism. Such a program aims to produce qualified cadres to work in the various fields of tourism and hospitality and is considered the nucleus of academic and vocational education and training.
