- The Department of Psychological Counseling and Behavior Modification is one of the educational departments in the Faculty of Education at the American Open University. It is based on guidance, counseling, and psychological treatment, as well as everything related to the human being, his psychological health, and the characteristics of the student’s psychologically healthy personality while he is performing his teaching profession. The department continues to carry out its mission in preparing teachers in the field of mental health.
- Changing the methods of evaluating students in academic subjects so that they move away from the memorization method and rely on comprehension questions, innovative thinking, and multiple solutions to a single issue.
- Amending the curricula so that their objectives are in line with the objectives of the strategic plan for science, technology and innovation.

The Department of Comparative Education at Aswan University seeks to teach some courses for undergraduate students (bachelor's), and also at the level of professional qualification beyond the non-educational bachelor's level. It offers professional diploma programs (equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education) and develops a master's program in educational administration and supervision.

Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods
The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods is one of the main departments in the College of Education, and a fundamental pillar of the educational process. The department seeks to spread knowledge and science through the programs it offers at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (Masters and PhD) to prepare a distinguished learner who has the ability to deal with the educational system in general and the learner in particular at the professional, human and academic levels in all specializations. The department includes a significant number of distinguished curricula and teaching methods experts, and thus qualifies them to prepare distinguished educators with competence in this field, starting from the undergraduate level to the doctoral level, who have the ability to face educational challenges and problems and provide appropriate solutions for them
